Bert's Steiff Teddy:

Teddy Bear Town is the aesthetic creation of Bert Schippers, Teddy Bear enthusiast, fan and collector for many years. Ever since receiving a Steiff Bear as a baby, Bert has been a Teddy Bear lover.

Charlotte's Russ Teddy:

Charlotte bought him 5 years ago from a Bed, Baths & Beyond in Orlando Florida while she was on holiday. She lives in England and calls this fellow Edward. Edward is from the prestigious line of bears knows as the Fitzsimmons family...

Corduroy Bear:

I am looking for a stuffed corduroy bear without eyebrows. I think he is called Classic Corduroy. Any info that you have would be appreciated. I think he is about 15-16 inches tall and was made by Eden toys. E-mail the Curator if you have any information on the whereabouts of this fellow.

Corey and "Grommet":

Grommet is an official "Alaska Airlines" pilot bear. He was obtained as a gift from his daddy complete with leather bomber jacket, helmet and flight goggles (not shown in photo). He's flown with Corey across the United States twice and is a great pal...

Del's "Teddy":

Del got his bear when he was a baby, 58 years ago. He just referred to his bear as "Teddy". Teddy soothed his boo boo's and he played with him all the time. A great chum for Del.

Harold Gray:

Harold from Tulsa Oklahoma sent us this picture of his teddy bear. This bear was a birthday present to a close friend of Harold’s in 1920. She was 6 years old at the time (now her name is Mrs. Hawkins). She and her husband were recently moving and invited Harold into their house. She told him how much she enjoyed playing with the bear, and that it brought her so much joy. They gave him the chance to buy it and he did. The bear is golden mohair, 14 inches in height, has moveable arms, legs and is stuffed with straw. It still has the original button in its ear!

Laurie & Barney:

Laurie has had Barney for 10 years or so. He's about 7 feet tall seated, with an 18 foot circumference. She bought him from an importer/exporter who had him custom made for a big trade show. He resides in her living room and is the favorite "chair" of both Laurie and her cats. He's made with high quality material and is very plush so is quite comfortable. He's stuffed with 1400 cubic feet of shipping popcorn and is believed to be one of the biggest stuffed teddies in the world!

Lillian & Bernie:

These two are Russ Bears From The Past. The white one is called Lillian and the brown one is Bernie. They are my two favorites out of 13. I got them last year; Lillian for Christmas and Bernie for my birthday in July.

Nan Weston:

Here's Rhett Beartler shown with Scarlet O'Beara. I do not have a good picture of "my" Rhett so have scanned a greeting card I purchased many years ago. I have some 40 odd bears in my V.I.B. collection.
